14" whats the sizes lowest i can go for

Featured Replies

hi peeps, i am purchasing a set of 14" x 6j and common sizes i see are 185/60/14 tyres fitted, the reason i am buying 14 is i want to get full passengers in my car without scrappage, at the moment i am running another set of 14" with same profile tyres. i wish to know what other options i have, so far i have found 195/45/14 but will cost 60 a tyre, will these be ok? thanks

I've run 195/45/14's on my bbs ra 14x6's and my casstellets 14x6's. Had them on my 6n on an 80mm philj kit with the rear at the bottom aswell without rubbage. And on my golf down 120mm without rubbing.

Also consider 185/55/14 or if your very luck you can get a Continental 185/50/14. Expect to pay £50/£60 for those though.

Depends what car your running them on also. Your profile suggests a MK3 Golf, so I would say the 195's would be fine

considder 175/50 i have them on my 14x6s no scrubbage down 120 mm

Yoko A539 185/50s.

195/45 as you can pick them up for a decent price (£40 each for some good falkens)

also, more grip, which is essential if youre on 6j rims.

shouldnt have rubbing unless your offset is lowwww.
