i filled up my motor bike and my car the other day and it cost me a fortune. its a good job I'm working and not at college or sumfin or id be running on hopes and dreams.

it cost me 45notes to brim my car and 15 quid to brim my bike.

it used to cost me 7 quid to fill my bike before christmas not only do insurers want a share of you are ass, so does the government to let you run your car. fair enough when it was cheap but now......

my dad got an email saying that if you buy from supermarkets like tesco and sainsburys and avoid filling at places like esso and bp, they will panic and lower their fuel prices? anybody else herd this?

All comes from the same companys anyway

I'm sure some of the suppermarkets get there fuel from people like shell and they get the fuel from the import company I'm sure theres only one supplier who bought the rest out?

sounds like a good idea though but its the goverment that need to lower tax

It does generally all come from the same place. Supermarkets are generally cheaper as they decide to make less profit from petrol as they do most of their money making from selling food in supermarkets, as opposed to petrol stations like Esso who deal solely in selling petrol and diesel.

so basically the theory is still right. prices are cheaper from supermarkets so in effect large fuel companys may lower prices. probably wouldnt work for long

Thats one of the reasons my mates jacked in his faithful landie, fuel costs just insane...

sainsbury's fuel is bp fuel. only 4 or 5p cheaper.

4 or 5p, atleast it makes a slight difference. id prefer pay 4 or 5p less than full wack

tbh most people will pay what they have to. I just keep sticking the same £20 a week in and just have to drive on the red more often and for longer :p

how the fuck did it cost your 7 quid to fill up before xmas and 14 quid to fill up now. your figures have got a bit wrong because we haven't seen a 100 percent price increase.

fair enough its a joke but thats a bit of an exaggeration.

and that email is bollocks, people have been boycotting esso for ages because they dont spend any money into research of renewable energy sources, but yet you pass an esso and see loads of people in there.

its a neccessity so we have to buy it, if esso is 5p cheaper I'm going there despite them being bastards.

I've always hated spending money on petrol but you just get on with it, if it gets so bad just dont drive or buy one of these sketchy supermini diesel things that do like 70 mpg, then your laughing to a certain degree

The Devon garage has gone up 100 percent in just a year or so,though. And thus the government are making double the tax on every litre sold there now than they were then. How can they justify doing that? Whatever issues are going on at the big round table,they'd better sort it out rapid style.

went to get petrol at 5 mins to midnight last night so i could get to work this morning and they only had diesel left! that was at tesco's. luckily the garage down the road hadn't run out....

This country is a load of shit nowadays. I'm currently looking into converting my car to run on biodiesel.

Saw an old Top Gear the otherday from 2003 and petrol was 80.9p somewhere near John Agrotes!

I remember when I started Driving and it was 75p per litre. but it's just got stupid.

I read somewhere that on the 22nd there will be fuel protests, I hope something good comes out if it happens.
