can I use this as a direct replacement to the G40 standard exhaust centre section or will it be to restrictive/small bore?

also for future ref, does anyone know the bore of the standard exhaust.

For instance, if I was to get a stainless one made up, would it be worth getting a slightly larger bore or is the standard ok?

am running PSD chip & toothed belts/smaller pully +- 130bhp

Don't look like the right part tbh. Lists the polo 1.3i as 55hp so i assume thats the SPI or NZ ?? Anyone wanna elaborate?

My exhaust is standard bore down to where the flexy pipe should be and then a bigger bore exhaust pipe is used all the way to the backbox. Would be better if it was the same thickness for the entire length but i haven't got the cash to change it yet

external bore of G40 exhaust = 2.25inches.

that's the thing, it looks the same as what's on the car now, so I might have the wrong part on now!

yeah I asked them for the dimensions of the bore so should know by tomorrow..

they also have the backbox for the G40 for £39.76 delivered..

They asked me for details of the car, including engine size, year etc & got back asking if 130 bhp was a typo heheh...

Wouldn't that reduce the flow in the exhaust, strangling the engine ?
