I'm in a nice situation where if I get another car, it won't cost me anything on the insurance. What do I get though?

You paying?

i have to say rocco as that is what my weekend toy is at the moment

i am thinking the next weekender could be a 190e cosworth after my mate got one recently tho

You paying?

Haha, you never mentioned budget! I'm guessing you dont have 6-7k lying around for the beamer then?

Budget's up to a grand, preferably less.

It's a fair point, thing is, 190's are still pricey. 230's aren't so bad, but I don't know if that's what I'm after or not.

a Non-Sport E30 325i

rocco 8-) or a 230 coupe on coilies and amg rims mmmm

my mate just paid £2000 for his merc so yeah a bit out of your price range good roccos start at about £500 at the moment which would leave a bit of cash to buy lowering kit exhaust or wheels i recon the 924/supra wouldnt leave much cash in your pocket from £1000

e30 318is/325i? probly closer to a £1000 too {look nice slammed tho}

The BM and the Merc are tempting, but I've already got a Camry V6 that'll go through a hedge forwards as fast as a either of them will go through one backwards.

Saloons are alright, but I'm fancying something a bit sporty to go with my hair loss.

i would say the porsche, my mate had a 944 at 17, and you dont appreciate them, till you go in them. such cool cars.

bought it for 1500, it was a 2.5 and flew for a heavy car.

then the clutch went. £1100 to do it.

the one reason i wouldnt have an old porsche.

rocco ftw!

E30 325 Touring.

My bros on his 2nd now, they are awesome. His newest one has LSD, short shift and some other stuff and it flies.

Not too pricey either.

Rocco!! Mine was a good laugh.

Its not about the speed with the E30, tbh they are not really quick cars any more, but its how they drive and sound that really got me. I had a 325i touring and it was great. Tunnels were my best friends and they are not as lairy as you think. With some good tyres on in the dry you would be hard pushed to get the rear end out unless you were trying to and in the wet they are so controlled if they do step out you can easily control it.

And they are rather rare with prices starting to rise. I lost nothing on my car and I owned it for 18months. (you can probably guess I liked it!) I only sold it as I thought I would get a more modern car but the E36's are not as involving to drive as the E30 was.

civic type r!

wheres tobyk?? :paranoid::paranoid::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja:

If i was gonna have any other car but the Polo today,id have another Rocco. Its basically a MK1 Golf GT/i but with a better driving position, dash, and incredible solidarity. Its handling has to be experienced. I would've suggested it even if it wasnt on the list - not so much that i miss mine, just it was that good.

Fair play, it's not that I don't wan ta Polo, it's just that I've got enough (4) of them already :badgrin:

Supra. Bombproof. Belter.

That's an MA-70 Supra which is commonly referred to as the Mk3 :paranoid:

Do you have £1200 to spend? Got a 100% solid near mint one in alpine white with full MOT. It's an auto, and a turbo.

Had the head gasket replaced with an uprated one along with ARP head stud kit to prevent the common head gasket failure. Other than that and a Ramair filter element it's standard. New tyres all round.

thats a shame, auto cars are gay as fuck, changing gear is half the fun of driving.

Why do you think it's for sale... I'd have bought it off my dad by now if it was a manual, the insurance is a hell of a lot less than an Evo/Scooby and the manuals are quicker than them!

its a lot of car for the cash, just a shame about the box tbh.

Which engine has it got in? I'm not adversed to an automatic, so long as it's a good one (drove a 924 auto once - nasty). Guessing it's a 3 speed box with overdrives?

Tis a 3.0 24 turbo, 7M-GTE is the code

It is a good box, I think it's just a 4 speed auto, not sure about overdrives or whatever. There is a sport button :lol:

The torque converter locks up in all gears from about 2000 or so rpm, so it's no "slush" box.
