was quite good today considering it was my first time, but only thing that ruined it was the wind but the amount of uber sexy looking cars made up for it

and just for laughs, as my mate just bought a pair of GTI seats and thought he would carry it on his head and whats more funny is that his shoulders were aching after and also to find out the seats dont even fit in his car lol

why did it win? i personally don't get it. looks like evry other mk5 gti to me. i think I'm falling behind the times...i mean i think it looks good but can't se why it would win anything. there isnt much on it thats either personal or unique that i can see anyways. if you look at that bloke mitch with that loop from edition38 a while back that was a great example of a new vag car that had great original touches. this one however looks like every other mk5 gti. just my opinion of course I'm well aware that this website has a great following of this kind of look/car which is fine of course.

for me from the few threads on inters the best cars in my opinion are the red mk1 proper clean thing..and the passat. loving chrispys cos he's put a lot of work into it that we have been able to follow and appreciate and i like it so much cos its an open air which makes it a bit more special to me.

never heard a truer word. that is a good point lol

i went to a show recently near northampton mainly air cooled but there was a proper show and shine with all types of cars watercooled and air cooled and they were all unmodified from a clean as you like mk1 gti to a polo coupe s and various other untouched examples. that was alike a time warp experience. different kind of show though. can't remember the name of the show though!! grrr! dan krebbs was there not on show and shine but he may remember the name of the show if he shows up on this thread.

that mk1 golf with the pimp clean undercarriage had 8k on the clock!

every nut and bolt was spanking! such a labour of loove! i was certanly impressed....there was a seperate concours class at the show, and there was a lovely mk2 golf on teardrops it was pristine!

didn't really take that many only ones i took are below,

i left at about 4ish, what about you, also i will try my hardest to make it to the KOD meet and will try and drag my mate along aswell :-) and also doubt very much i will have the teledials on as there are no tyres on them atm, also they are still in the process of getting painted lol
