Have tried searching the forums but couldnt find anything on this so...

I know its not a legal requirement to have a reverse light but was just wondeirng about the rear fog light.

On vehicles first used after 1974?, it is a requirement to have a foglight on the rear of the vehicle, either on the offside, or in the centre (like a 206).

Post 1974 is for reflective numberplates, Rear Fogs is post 1980/81ish although if its fitted to the car, it has to work (only on the drivers side or in the centre, left hand side doesn't count.

I have a 79 Fiesta sat in the garage with a shiny new MOT and no rear fog.

Anyone know the exact date? i have a 80 model polo and could do with losing the fog lamp.

Old cars are fantastic - my camper doesn't need a fog light and doesn't have to pass a computerised emissions test on the MOT.
