Had this same prob myself i went down to my local VW and got the parts cost me like 11 quid for the lot both brackets a bolt and rubber grommets

did you fit it to a older model mk4 i guess? did you have to get a later model airbox?

I got a 1.4 1997 p reg 6n polo just changed the brackets over and was fine =P alan keys and that was it really

I had this style of airbox

p.s thats not my grubby car lol

ah right. mines a 96 so i need to get that style airbox :( :lol: trip to the scrappers tomorrow :)
