why ditch perfectly good injection for carbs? what you want to be looking into is injected throttle bodies. alot of work involved still, custom inlet, the bodies themselves (can use certain motorbike ones) then custom fuel rail, stand alone management/ mapping. thats just for a start!

i did say i was useless with engines

what info can you provide me with please?

You are as Philly suggests better off with independent Throttle Bodies and something like a Megasquirt or Emerald 3D ECU. Carbs are a fantastically simple design but they are only optimised over a limited rev range.

For a 1.4 16v you are looking at TBs around the 29mm range so probably something in the 900cc bike range (unless you plan to spend several thousand on internals to get big revs) and probably 200cc (or 18lb/hr) injectors rated at the fuel rail pressure you intend to run.
