Please could you confirm the part number on the starter motor?

0261200306 digifant (original VW part number)

its a replacement one and was working perfectly before the engine was removed

hey mate no worries to be honest they were ready for the bin if they didnt sell i got rid of my GT and i'd rather help someone out with a bargain than have them gathering dust in the shed :)
