as for the calipers, i took the wheels off and had it stood on bricks, got a bucket of hot soapy water and attacked them with a tooth brush, works really well! have a small wet sponge to hand too to wash off all the loose crap ul get from rubbing with the brush! then it looks realllly cool!

brake cleaner maybe??
