i grew up on a rough estate, i spent my early years being told that all old bill were scum, and this was what i believed to be true until i got old enough to make up my own mind about people (about 10 years old). i grew up enough to make up my own mind about them individually (just like i do with every one else i meet) and in all my years since then i've only ever met one copper that was a cock (and i've met quite a few old bill in my time ).

i mostly find that if your a cock to them then they tent to be a cock to you, maybe that's worth baring in mind

Right and I spent a lot of my youth actually wanting to be a copper.. my parents were on first name basis with a lot of the local bobbies but in recent years it's becoming more apparent that the decent coppers have all but faded away or retired and now the only people who are joing the force are the little cocks

Edit: I used to have a lot of respect for them but in my own experiences they really are just fucking assholes.. if that makes me a sheep or lemming in your eyes then so be it.. but it sound like your the one who's the sheep as you're trying so desperately not to be one

not a copper lover, it just really really gets on my nerves when people have the view of the police being arsewhipes from maybe one or two experiences of actually have a dickhead copper then just assuming that every single copper out there is arsewhipe...

doesn't just apply to police applys to every generalisation...

I've had a couple of bad experiences with the police but that doesnt mean every one i see or encounter I'm gonna assume is as arsewhipe, which is the point I'm making - I'm sure there are poor policemen out there, i dont doubt it, but its the generalisation that every copper is the same and they're all gonna treat you unfair that gets to me.

and for the countless examples of the asshole police mentality I'm sure there are many more where the police act fairly and have helped many people.

and this just doesn't happen in the police in practially every organisation [sp ] out there, there are some that don't act as they are supposed to but it would unfair to judge all in that organisation the same.

I would expect to get laughed at if I did that. Why are the police any different? Replace that car with a BMW/expensive supercar/woman driver/chav wagon, IMHO you get the same effect.

i could easily list 20 instances of coppers being arseholes, victimising people and beating them up just because they can get away with it!

for example; my mate was started on by a van load of gypsies, so he drove off and they gave chase ended up ramming my mate's car, put a golf club through the window where i was which while holding on all the glass got pushed into my palms and was bleeding heavily. after a lengthy chase we saw a police car so we stopped next to it blocking the road and told them what had happened, the van wasn't allowed to move but they dragged me out of the car and pushed me so my hands were on the bonnet of the police car even though they were full of glass and bleeding, the occupants of the van were ordered to stay in the van, my mate was sat in the drivers seat where he was told to stay, another copper came over and told him to get out of the car and stand at the back so he did then the first cop came over and told him to stay in the car and don't fucking move! second copper comes back over drags him out, throws him in some dirt at the side of the road starts kicking him about, screaming i told you to get out of the car you little nice person etc etc mean while i'm still being held on the car 'keep you hands on the fucking car' glass stabbing me blood everywhere then after 3 of them had battered my mate and flung him in a riot van the first cop came over to me and started shouting at me calling me a prick and trying to push me about coz 'you got blood on my car you prick, whose going to clean that coz i fucking ain't! you wipe it off' he told me, i was then cuffed and put in the van too, my mate was arrested and charged with road rage, and resisting arrest and i got done for swearing in public, spent the whole night in the cells and was kicked out 25+ miles from my home at 5.30am. the van's occupants, all 13 armed with golf clubs baseball bats and metal bars were arrested but let off without charge as 'there was no proof they broke the window or rammed the vehicle'! BOLLOX!

my missis wants to be a cop, her auntie, uncle, cousins, brothers and dad are all cops and most of them are twats and they think they can tell me how to behave because they've got a badge even though i've seen them break the law on more than one occasion!!!

a clip which i managed to get in a year or so back was pulled from youtube and tv, i was sat in a quiet multi storey having a sneaky joint in my mk1 golf gti when some idiot came up wheel spinning which was soon followed by the cops and sky one camera crew, they were questioning people then another knob drove in, in a shit box orion doing back fires, they dragged him out of the car and threw him on the bonnet of the orion denting it in, then other people started arguing with the cops and they ended up gettin thrown about too!

they pulled it as it 'portrayed police in a bad light.....'
