you can make them work on the car while you skin up :D:lol:

Bon Appitite ..

Chazbot is a ledge .. sometimes too into her cars .. lol .

I'm one for Cars like 75% of the time i do like to Chillax however 8-)

thing is lad when you have about 3 or 4 projects on the go you dont really get a chance to chillax, especially when everyone works day jobs as well.

Thats why team efforts really pay off, your loon would be nothing without the help of your fellow club polo'rs (ie charlie, karl and steve). in fact it wouldnt have been ready for the mot if it wasnt for us lot changing the brakes and charlie giving you the VWIIs.

You need to get your ass stuck into the flog it and some of the other motors to actually develop your skills so you can realistically take on another project yourself instead of it being a pipe dream, because at the moment if you get another project you wont have a team of people helping to get it going.

I'm a girl, and i know about cars,

didnt have much of a choice growing up i had to help my dad work on cars as i had little hands i could get in the aquard places.

i kinda wish i didnt like cars, id be a lot more well off,

you can make them work on the car while you skin up :D:lol:

Oh believe mate i wont be buying another car for a very long time .. The loon has pissed me off the past few day's vw's in general have pissed me off i just need a break .. Some time to chill with the lads and have a laugth .. I think il be popping down to the unit this evening to get the evil bitch of a golf sorted as that needs finnishing and sold  I'm just propper stress out after spending so much time on cars and being unable to drive than being able to drive but having no car to drive .. argh ,am u dnt understand how it wrecks ure head .. I met a girl on friday too and thats kinda been taking up my time

You guys have been utter legands helping me out .. I have spent as much time as i can trying to help with everyhting and i am learning . believe .. Just need a bit of a rest thats all i need to catch up with my previous life away form the unit and the constant barage of VW loving .. lol . I've found one point of break which is a nice girl il bne back to my happy self soon wanting to get stuck in in notime at all ..

sound dude :), did the loon get its ticket of freedom today then?

Nope its being uber gay .. well the loon isnt the garage is . meh ..

It is getting looked at on wed/ thurs

The only good thing is i am getting mates rates as the dude has a sweet mk1 golf and liked my car when i braught it in . lol . Must of chated to him for a cpl of hours and he was like dunna you worry il sort you out mates rates and wrote down in the book i was his friend ..

Score .. But then again no score as the work wont be done as quickly .

sometimes i curse not being a bit stronger but i hate giving in so i just persevere until things give in!!!

Yeah I really curse not being a bit stronger sometimes too, but like you said there is usually a way to get things undone, but it's the bigger jobs like doing a gearbox swap that I really struggle with strength wise. Tbh though most of the time me and my boyfriend work on our cars together so it's not an issue.

Plus, if youre going out for a nice evening, and you have a problem with the car, and the girl knows her stuff then she can give you a hand and the problem can be sorted in half the time, rather than just sitting there fecking tutting saying shit like "is it nearly done?" and "why didnt you get a nice new car" arrrgggh (i had a bad experience )

We've joked about this many times, in fact every time his car breaks down we laugh about that fact that I instantly pop the bonnet and jump out of the car faster than he does to see what the problem is

Sal. x

yeah i think its pretty rad

i do try and listean and make conversation with my boyfriend when he is talking about cars n stuff...him being a mechanic and all. but when he called me up at work the other day saying he was in the middle of changing his pollen filter, i naturally assumed he was talking about fitting something in his car to stop his hayfever. easy mistake to make........... :?

Oh this thread reappearing just reminded me of something a girl (she doesnt drive) I've just moved in with said the other day..cracked me up...

My mate conrad has a crack in his windscreen...quite large...he was explaining its got bigger in the heat...so she says well cant you just put nail varnish on it to stop it spreading further....she then realised this was the rule for ladders in tights, not in fact for cracks in windscreens lol...i was just like oh dear

Then again I'm about to post a dumb female question in technical so i cant speak haha

we have two "girls" on my college course (need motor vehicle)....they are more manly then some of the guys in my class

i dig chicks in old retro/ratty rides, especeally if they're hot

^^Stu,since sometime in the mid 90s,I've been feeling that. She was a tiny, pretty and frankly fragile looking girl - and lit up the rear tyres of the Capri 2.8i she was driving as she floored it across the mini-roundabout. Sitting there in a cloud of tyre smoke, eating a salad roll,i felt all warm inside..

My father (god rest his soul) insisted when I passed my test at 17 that i at least knew the basics about my car . We lived in the country and I went to school 15 miles away a drive that was then mainly country lanes and no mobile then. I became a petrol head because of him and have always been able to work on my own cars. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than if my car has gone to a garage and they start to give me some bull about what is wrong thanto correct them or start asking awkward questions  The guys at GSF know better than to try and fob me off now too.

I knew nothing about Polo's before I met Matt (I'm an airhead through and through) but he's taught me the basics on them too. The best thing about it is we can work on the "garage" together ( 6 vehicles means a lot of work  ) We both have our own engine stands as we're both planning on building spare engines for two of the vehicles at the moment. (I like it when he buys me tools and stuff as presents )

The best conversation at our wedding .... 3 mates who all race in different classes in VWDRC and Outlaw flat four and several girls all discussing how to get the best out of vehicle to gain the ET's and run time :-D the debate became quite heated.

At the end of the day lads if your Gf or a female friend express and interest in her/your car and wants to learn . Encourage them.

Sitting there in a cloud of tyre smoke, eating a salad roll,i felt all warm and sticky inside my pants..

porn tbh

megan fox- the chick outta transformers, sadly its scripted car talk but phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwoar!

gives my dog a bone all day long!!!!

I'm just lucky to have a woman that wants to learn more.

instead of a woman that just sits inside doing her make-up

thats why i buy her tools and a engine stand so we can spend more time together
