Mk2 Syncro 16v

Featured Replies

I have a 1988 mk2 syncro this has a 1.8 16v KR engine in it,It did run/drove very well until i removed the petrol tank to do some welding.

Bad bits-

The rear strut tops are really the worst i've seen they could be fixed but i really don't have the time it needs a rear n/s/r arch and o/s sill ,and has rust on the bottom corner of the windscreen.

Good bits

The car had been driven daily until about 1 year ago when i removed the carpet by the rear turrets. The drive train had had a full sevice all fluids etc.The gearbox is amazing it feels like new never felt another like it .Also a brand new sachs clutch had just been fitted and the previous owner said it had lots of cylinder head work done.

I've fitted a section to the rear panel and a n/s/r/arch- i was going to do custom arches all round.

It did go really well sadly i need some money to fund an LPG conversion for my other car and i just don't have the time to do this

I brought the car off my brother who brought it from a man in a village near where i live
