I heard that you can't claim if you've been hit on private property, ie: a private carpark. is this right?

What defines a private carpark? like a work/office carpark?

If so then i dont see why you couldnt claim..

It's a college carpark, private as in it's owned by the college, not the council. That used to be the law when you couldn't claim on private property, but i'm not sure if the law still applies. I need to know.

nah dnt think you can it happend at my college and the insurance claim dint go through

are you sure about that? cos i kind of sounded like it was their fault, but infact it was some one trying to claim against me.

Just try and claim.

Insurance is there to cover you incase of an accident regardless of fault.

I am pretty sure that private property doesn't include privately owned car parks for public use, I.E supermarket shopping centres carparks or college carparks. Anywhere with public access should have claimable rights.

I claimed for an accident in a McDonalds car park when some dude revered into the valver. His Insurance had no hasitation in paying out to get my car fixed. So just give it a go.
