Ok so I've already got a rattling exhaust as ideally i should have had new brackets when it got fitted, but only had old ones so it was a make do jobby...anyway i was driving down the motorway earlier, and noticed that the faster i went (i dont mean more than 70 either) the more my car started violently shaking, at one point i was sure it was about to drop to bits.

Could this have anything to do with my exahust...as from the back it looks likes its dropped is no longer straight...or do i need to get it checked out for something more serious??

I don't see how the exhaust would make the car shake violently, I'd be more checking the wheels to make sure they're all on correctly with no loose bolts, balanced and tracked. Or the wheel bearings, they normallu squeak a bit before they really go though.

Everything on my car should be in order...it was in the garage for over a month with any problem on it being sorted...and it was fine all last week... unless some little scrotes have been trying to rob my alloys (I've moved to a much sought after postcode) i dont see how anything can be loose...

yeah definitely check your bolts, my car started shaking one evening turned out some scumbags from down the road had loosened the bolts on my left front wheel :( it was well loose when i checked it, i could have had a serious accident too but i was very lucky

I'm not exaggerating thanks!!! My mate was in the car with me, and she asked why her seat was vibrating so much!! I'm not a complete retard when it comes to cars..i know when something doesnt feel right!!

Only problem being is if any bolts are loose i have no tools at all to tighten them haha...I'm well prepared...oh well an excuse to meet the boys next door i guess lol

My exhaust was in pretty poor shape the other month with the centre pipe hanging low and the back box up in the bumper so you couldn't see it at all from the back. All I had was a vibrating sound, but didn't feel anything at all from it.

No i dont have anything like that in the car, which is stupid i know. i will be sorting that out. I am guna check the bolts this morning in daylight...it wasnt safe to go out there last night

What like the first piece of advice I gave that was not even acknowledged!?..The same advice that came from someone who's also driving a vibrating car atm?

Does it still do it when the car's turned on but not going anywhere (give the engine a good rev to be sure )? That'd tend to indicate if it's the exhaust.
