do i need a pump 4 it ??????????? is the pump in the kit ??????????

Just bought this exact same kit 2 days ago, i was told they are very good qualit and are easy to fit, i dont think you'll need a pump as they use electronic solanoids.

Mike

how good r these?

I'm lookin at gettin one i have a 1.4L with no central locking.

Iv had one of these kits on my 6n2 for 6months now, def well worth it works well if fitted properly, it took me a while fitting at first cos i haven't done it b4, but was fine at the end. the keyfobs are slightly cheap looking when u holding it but never had any probs with it, doesn't look as good as it does in the pic, but its not to bad, but brilliant price for th kit tho, prob one of the cheapest kits on ebay. The 'PROMOTIONAL PRICE' has always been on its add's even when i bought it 6 months ago, so don't rush into buying it, it will always be there! I would recommend the kit.

dont need a pump, its just a remote contoled solernoid that is attatched to the door pin, basiclly, it just pushes the pin up and down to lock/unlock, works from quite a distance. really good kit.

theres a sensor box that u mount under the bonnet.

its really really easy to install.

I should be getting the £30 kit friday, alarm, central locking and remote start :D

Iv got the alarm central locking n remote start on mine.

but not wired in the remote start cos apparently its quite difficult, i got pretty confused n had to get someone to fit it for me.

Actually just had to take the alarm out as i thought the central locking bit had screwed up but its exactly the same problem without the alarm wired up so i think my pumps given up.

overall hawk are a really good company IMO

I just bought the kit in the first link on monday, was delivered for tuesday and fitted that night.

must say was alot easier than i thought to fit. although I've only had it a day, the kit works brilliant!!

and the distance the remote works from is as good if not better than a standard cars remote central locking. ( i was about 100 yards away from the car and was still working)

two thumbs up from me :D

Any one want to pu tup a step by step guide? :p

i am thinkin of buyin will it effect insurance??

technicly yes^^

Any one want to pu tup a step by step guide? :p

theres a couple of guides on the uk-polos site. the mk3 one is very good, dunno what the other guides are like as I've no need for them, but theres deffoe one for the mk4/5 owners on there

hmm i would happily pay someone to fit it to my mk5 :p

i am thinkin of buyin will it effect insurance??

ra didnt think it would effect insurance, anyone know how? good or bad?

ofcourse it will effect insruace, you are modding the car so it differs from factory specification. You WILL void your insurance

Rang my insurance up (quinn direct) and told them I've installed remote central locking, and they said it wouldnt affect my insurance...

thats just quinn, people like direct line do not allow any mods unless you are over 25

It'll be OK when your all at ClubPolo, unlocking each others cars.

^^ lol

lol lookin forward to that i was just wondering then seen as I'm on direct line weather a factory fitted cat 1 clifford alarm would make it so they wudnt insure me aswell seen as I've asked about anythin e.g debadged grill seatcovers and they say anythin like that and it will void the insurance. :)

link to step by step guide for mk4/5 plz?
