Although if I wanted I could save a few quid (I think) and get the one without the solenoids as my 6N2 1.4 TDI SE Polo has central locking just no remote fob.

This gives you a nice VAG style flick out fob - as long as you can sort the keys out and I guess the VW immobiliser transponder is inside the original key so that too would need transferring over.

I really don't like the "luxary" faux carbon fibre on that first unit and this is only about £3 more expensive, with the VW badges as well it could probably pass for an OEM unit (I reserve final judgement still I see it first hand).

Anyone got any fitting guides for the 6N2 - guess I've got to wire into all the existing door solenoids (actually think it could be a vacuum system as no big clunk and there is slight delay - anyone know for sure), it would be easier if these can all be found in one place on the wiring loom.

If I'm feeling really brave I could try and get the boot release to work plus the windows and sunroof closure.

I didn't bother with the cheapo Chinese kits and went for a better one.

If anyone needs any help fitting its pretty easy, you just need a Haynes manual to know what wires on the CL pump and the indicator +ve feeds if you wanna flash the indicators.

Not yet bothered with the window closure part but may well do, just need to find the nearest take wire to do the lot - if anyone knows it let me know! A clue prob lies in the Haynes manual except the wiring diagrams don't give the physical positions of where to find the wires etc.

any idea how to connect it onto hawk alarm so it locks by alarm remote? I've got white wire an brown wire but there not working for me...

It'll be OK when your all at ClubPolo, unlocking each others cars.

Had one of these kits on my mk3 for ages, totally faultless.

They are randomly coded too so there isn't much chance of that happening.
