Basiclyy I've got a set of 9j ats cups that i just refurbed. When i went to get my 205/45/15's fitted they said it was impossible to fit. Are they right or is it possible?

I've seen 175/50s on a 9J

The 205/45s will go on depending on brand, a lot of people run 195/45s as well. Find another tyre place!

yeah its possible...they just unflate the tyre normally, there just gay, like toby said, try another place.

Yeah id assume on that much stretch you might air-leak.

So for practicality, stretch and a more comfortable ride, get a 195/45/15 i think.

So, he needs more stretch for a more comfortable ride does he?

Are you sure the diameter of the tyre is the same as the wheel only joking.

My local kwik fit were a bit 'ummm not sure' when they fitted my 195's on an 8j wheel .

I think it's probably best not to go to the big main tyre places, try finding small garages that fit tyres.

They would need a beedcheeter to fit them.

I've been to two small tyre places. One of which i know well but they said if the place i had tried forst couldn't do it neither could they! lol Havn't had a chance to get out and find anywhere else.

haha yea i did that before, went round a roundabout with a soft rear tyre and popped it off the bead, tried to pump it up with a forecourt compressor with no luck, when i came out of the garage with some deodourant and a lighter my mates thought i'd gone mad!

squirted a decent amount in the tyre, then gave it some flame thrower style at rhe rim and pop she went straight back on!

for extreme stretch a cheater is best but there are various other ways, anyone heard of the plastic bag/disposable seat cover method?

So I'm still none the wiser on what to do! anyone know a place that will do it in east london/ essex??

styledynamix in hayes is your best bet.. tis a bit far but they'll have no issues with it!

I've seen someoneon youtube fitting tyres using a bike innertube. reckon thats a safer bet than the deo and lighter?

Still don't know if i wanna be doing the work. But can't find anyone else to do it.

So I've seen this method ofdoing it. you reckon its safe if i do it? I'm not an utter tard but just dnt wanna risk fitting them wrong.

What you reckon? really need them on for tomorrow.

id ring round some more tyre places local to you

do you have any companies that specialise in alloy wheels near you? (not like les smiths or halfords)

the biggest is Elite in rainham, but i doubtthey will do it.I finish collage at 1 tomorrow so I'm going on a mission then on lol.
