Speed camera

Featured Replies

I just wanted to know if a cop car has to make itself noticeable if its checking speeds with a camera in the back. I was on a dual carrage way doing no more than 80 and i saw a volvo estate cop car pulled into the side, but it never had any lights inside or out and it was kinda hidden due to it being just afer a slight bend. Ss soon as i saw it i braked, hopefully i wasnt too late.

Do they follow you and pull you over??

Is there anything that would give it away that it was checking speeds or just pulled over (was getting dark so dunno if there actually anyone inside)

Is the 10% rule still around??

If worse comes to worse I've heard you can go on courses??

Cheers (fingers crossed good luck is on my side)

If it was a traffic car, he wouldn't be able to check your speed without getting out and using a handheld gun (in which case he would have pulled you over on the spot). Most likely it was running an ANPR camera to check for no tax/insurance/general dogeyness.
