The Polo 9N

Featured Replies

Ok guys, started playing a few weeks ago. Wanting to keep every part a standard part (bodywise) and just add little touches.

Details:

Roof and bonnet painted Saab Black.

All trims/mouldings painted Saab Black.

Front bumper trim smoothed of the number plate recess.

Lower valance painted in Saab Black

Front grille painted Saab Black.

Next up is the coilovers (100mm drop) and some wheels (unsure on what yet)

What do you reckon?

Jay!

red bonnet back on and move you plate back i say. is th ebonnet aligned in that pic, loks asif its sticking forward?

looks pretty good!

lower it a bit:)

hmm.... has potential, however personally i think it looks like it has had something dropped on the bonnet and roff and you have had to cheaply replace the parts with the wrong colour... dunno about the number plate either :S

although that might all change once its dropped and new wheels are on :)

I quite like that actually

i dont get why people bum other cars, like that red lupo, with black roof and bonnet... then slate another. the only difference is this isnt lowered yet... once youv got the drop and some wheels its gona look tops mate :]

fork the haters, your car init :]

i reckon it will look good lowered too, i just feel it needs something blending the red and black together more

minter so far, keep going dude. :)

just a quick idea, be better with smaller checks.. but just a wee idea to kinda break it up a little?

Please please please don't buy black wheels with red rim tape and do the "red and black theme" there is actually nothing worse. Just now it looks a little iffy but if you choose some nice wheels and a nice drop it should start to come together.

It'll look buff when it's dropped down

Managed to get the lower valance and blanks painted yesterday - Saab Black of course.

As for wheels, I'm wanting some black alloys with a polished lip. Waiting for Execspec to get back to me with a price for some tasty Aray's that i spotted.

sounds nice man :D

I've got some mercedes adaptors for a 9n for sale if you're thinking about running mercedes wheels?

doesn't look to bad,not 100% sure on the black bonnet. but a good start.

The dark black bump strips look quite good, it gets a bit boring when everyone else just colour codes them, but imo either the roof in black or the bonnet would of worked but i'm not too sure about both of them being black :? Other than that I quite like it keep it up

Looks like a giant Lupo!

The really funny thing is that i have another bumper at home with the bumper moulding smoothed out like in the pic.

Removing the door mouldings is abit far but who knows, it may happen.

Unsure as to what to do with the back, no idea!

Does anyone know where Votex splitters can be purchased from?

Thanks,

Jay!

Smooth it + different splitter. I hate the bottom bit on 9N bumpers

Mouse you should probably try and find a different splitter for a 9n that looks good

There are none!
