polo gt/ g40 coversion

Featured Replies

Right its time to move away from cars for the time been as i have a lot planned this summer and i have my second year of university. Plus i've managed to loose my ncb due to some ditsy woman driver.

Black polo m3 gt/g40 engine

Shell mileage: 100,000

G40 clock mileage: 137,500

rebuilt engine mile: 10,100

Taxed till: 28/02/09

MOT till: 3/8/2008

The car originally started its life as a polo gt and was then had a g40 engine conversion which was done by Rae off the forum. He totally rebuilt the engine, piston rings all new gaskets and checked for wear throughout the head and block. I have had the car 6 months and done over 6000 miles due to traveling all over the country and the car has not had one fault! The only thing i have had to replace is the passenger wheel bearing and the right hand outer cv boot. I am truely impressed with the car and to be honest is one of the best cars i have owned.

I constantly let the car warm up before going into boost. Serviced it with millers oil every 3,000 miles and also changed the filter.

Modifications to the engine:

Polished and ported head which was done when Rae bought the engine

An actual superchip to compensate for the pulley change

Schrick cam

GT inlet

Stainless steel decat exhaust system (standard appearance)

Supercharger

Full rebuild on the charger (done by rae)

Ported and polished

PSD Toothed belt kit smaller pulley

BMC panel filter

Gearbox

Full rebuild

Mechanically the car is spotless and every electrical switch works.

Uprated clutch

Suspension/Brakes

G40 calipers and discs (Goodridge braided hosing)

Rear brake shoes (Goodridge braided hosing)

Phil j suspension kit

New wheel bearings

Wheels and tyres

Powder coated P slots in Graphite with Toyo's

Interior

G40 dials (blue back lit clock)

Electric windows (back lit blue)

Corrardo front bucket style seats( some of the best seats i have owned)

G40 rear bench and back

Central locking

Remote Alarm

Body work

This is the only down side to the car and reflects in the price. There are a few spots of rust on the body work and a few car parking dings here and there as the pictures will show you below.

I have stupid amounts of history for the car when Rae had it and also hundreds of pictures when all the rebuild on the engine/charger was done.

Looking for £1850

Will get more pictures of the car tomorrow.
