Well i've had the deposit left for the MK4 so it's officially sold ....so I've been hunting for a runaround to use untill the end of the year when I can afford to insure and buy something slightly more powerful

As a starter just get some BBS RA's for like £100 with tyres which will be perfect offset's / width's

Get standard Gti suspension ect .. Then have fun around the twisties .. Mk2 golf's do handle the nuts

mods for a mk2 golf will probably hold their money so you could buy them and sell them back at the same price (maybe even a little bit more!)
