Better getting bridgestone potenza's in the same fitment!

Bridgestones are better tyres and give a better stretch imo.

Down to personal preference, some people prefer the stretch that ditch finders give.

Was just reading in PVW about some new Nankangs that they said would be cool for stretching! I was also looking at some NS2s recently. Not decidied yet.

A friend of mine swears by nankangs as been real good for the price of them.

I had them on my old golf and cant say they were spethial. But then again I didnt have the stretched. So I suppose my response is pointless!

Id pay abit more for some bridgestone potenza's they give a more uniform roll to the edge of the tyre when stretched and they also grip and last more than 10 mins which Nankangs certainly dont do ..

When i ran Nankangs it was scary driving in the wet .. believe .

well form working in a tyre place the bridgestones are better tyres yes but nankangs are a budget tyre.

if your using it for racing then get the bridgestones but if not then nankangs will be fine.

For me, I want the little contact I have with the ground to be the best I can have.

I mean my Bridgestone 165s give more grip than the budget 185s that were on the car when I bought it.

Exactly, its what connects you to the ground at the end of the day. Gotsta be careful!

Have you and Currie exchanged places now

Yep. Hes got a wopping great muff and I have a 1cm penis.

Nah, I am sensible in much parts

hahahaha ..

Well when people ask for a 165/50/15 on a 6J i have a piccy and it seems rude not to iff there asking ..

I had 165/50/15 Nankangs stretched on a 7x15 and it was a serious amount of stretch on them - and on a G40 they just lit up all the time (even in 4th) and the rear end was a bit squirmy!

I'm think i'm gonna go for the nankangs for the mk1, tight budget. 895cc of grunt, so probably less likely to smoke them up!

Has anybody tried Falken ZE502 165/60/13?

You should be alright with Nankangs in the dry although they do wear remarkebly fast tbh i think its just about as cost effective to go for the more expensive tyre which not only grips better but last's a dmn sight longer too..

You get what you pay for.

If they are selling it cheaper, they have skimped out on somewhere.

i get bridgestone potenzas delivered for £131.40.

need to know the right people and look in the right places!

(make good mates with your local parts manager and blag them at trade price from tyrespot)

woopwoop!
