Hi guys, just wondered what the best way to get a really good finish that will last 4 ages and not become wavey after a certain amount of time? A guide of how to smooth a front bumper would be great. so i ave a step by step guide on how to do it. How hard is it to do or is it worth getting it done professionally?

I will try to make you a guide. Me and a mate of mine smoothed my bumper out. Wasnt easy and a bitch if you twist the bumper like I did. It came our realy good at first then fitted it and had to twist it back to shape then cracked one of the areas.

quick guide for you is:

Mesh holes,

Fibre Glass over mesh,

Filler,

Primer,

Paint.

After every stage you need to get sanding from rough to smooth then after you have primerd it just wet and dry it.

you forgot to put lacquer on the end of the list :p

fibreglass and plastic dont go together so well hence the cracking.

DMS6 best to use the search so as not to annoy anybody

andthe only way to smooth out plastic is to weld in other sections of plastic as close to flush as possible and then use minimal filler
