Have you asked the seller if he will ship to the UK?

ask the seller if they will ship to the UK

you'll find theres quite a few who wont :(

iv'e bought two items off german bay, a set of RH cups paid for and never arrived seller closed account (mr Tobias Hansky) arse ( * ) hole! and a manifold from another seller same deal paid for never came! be wary...

What did you end up doing then dude? ^^^^^

Sounds like you guys were unlucky. I bought a pair of Derby chome bumpers (two different sellers) and the whole experience was painless. The stuff arrived in perfect condition and most can write english (i wrote to them in german, using babelfish and asked nicely if they understood english) if you ask.

So be careful who you deal with and you'll be fine.

Its pot luck I guess. I bought 5 things of German ebay and 4 arrived.

I bought a set of wheels of ebay.de, cash on collection so no money issues for me, the seller was very helpful.

Try and atleast send a few messeges between each other before you send any money.

I bought a set of Schmidts from German eBay and they came.

Once id paid for them, the seller wouldnt answer any of my emails or anything so i thought id been done over but then they just arrived. Sorted.

purchased a new bootbadge. Sent the money, the badge arrived and then another badge arrived! 2 for the price of one!

make sure they have paypal before you bid on owt...i got some mk3 fogs for 15 quid...bargain! and he posted worldwide, look for that too

most germans speak english...better than some people on here haha

the fact that most of them don't use paypal makes it a right arse ache!

I've used german ebay to buy stuff about 5 or 6 times. Only not receiveed goods once, but my bank once made an error in sending money to the wrong Bank account and I'm still arguing over this with them. Seeing as they charged me £15 for them making hte error too.

I've posted cash 3 times (recorded & insured), but not huge ammounts <£100. Can insure up to £500 with royal mail.. but it ony covers it while in transit... not the fact that the seller may well decide to keep your money and not post the item.

It's all a bit to chance. Weigh up the cost saving over buying inthe UK against the risk of loosing your money.

**edit**

PS. Forgot to say, bought my G40 off ebay.de nicest ebayer ever! picked me up from the airport and everything!

bought some lights for my old car, they came fine. know a few people have bought dear wheels like borbets etc and they were ok too

I just find that some sellers never bother to reply if i ask them a question or whatnot.
