Someone told me they had a 16v gearbox for sale few weeks back, turned out it wasnt.

So, I have decent working gearbox (rod type) done about 80k apparently, I have tested it and runs nice and smooth.

it should fit any MK4 (apart from 16v obv)

Anyone needing it?

as far as i know deisel gearboxes are totaly different ratios

as they dont rev as high they need higher gears

so it will probably fit but you will have a top speed of 80mph

you see. this is good and everything. BUT. i rang a breaker up and they said theres two different linkages for them. i need to know what linkage this one is. and then ill buy it if its the right one. because my gearbox is fooooooked.

It is ROD TYPE. only other type is cable, which are only in 16v's

just to make this clear. iv bort a brand new one. and if anyone doesnt know the difference between rod and cable. one has a blue cap on the side, and another has a ablack cap mine had a rodd type and it was the 1.4 8v
