well I've partly done one side of getting them off.

done the passenger rear.

and half way through passenger door.

but its taken me like 3/4 hours just to do that.

whats the easiest way to get the foamy sticky adheisive stuff off.

its a nightmare.

any methods and what to use?

i was using autoglym tar remover. but its taking to long.

it's a bitch of a job.

using a hair drier to heat it up helps because it sorta melts the glue.

but it still takes a lot of elbow grease whatever you use.

unless someone else knows of some magic glue stripper

Usual any type of tar remover works well alongside a hairdryer, just abuse that hairdryer as that makes it easier.

But yeah, elbow grease is needed, it'll come off eventually.

My mates dad popped into the local car repair shop and half inched some rubber thing. Put it on the end of a drill and the crap is gone. Got him to do mine for me took about 10 mins.

I believe it is called a fudge wheel! Its on the FAQ DIY guide... check it out. Sounds as if it could save u a lot of time

Last night strangley I did the passnger rear section as well an it took me bout 2 and half hours! A spec of petrol on a rag and then rub it on the adhesive and straight after pick off the adhesive and it should fly off!! Even though it took me 1 1/2 hours to find this out!!!

I used some white spirits to get rid of the gunk behind my badges on the tailgate :]

Worked better than bug or tar remover.

I've heard petrol will do a good job too.

sorted now got the other one off without taking paint off.

i just dont know why that rear uarter did.

anyone got a rough prce that I'm gonna have to pay t get there rear quarter sprayed?

do they have respray the whole panal?

you only skim the sticky foam off dude, i didnt think you actually rubbed it on the paint.

Sorry mate. You must have been pressing too hard or something as my rear door has loads of paint taken off and when my mates dad used the fudge wheel none of the paint came off

hhhmmm....*ponders getting the credit card out*....not for the cost of a respray obviously lol...but to spend 3hours scraping all that gluey rubbish off

The Fudge whell is far by the quickist and it smells nice to =]
