13" 7.5 & 13" 8.5 Tyre Stretch

Featured Replies

I will be getting my wheels very soon and i will undoubtbly need a large stetch to fit them perfectly under the arches on the loon ..

They have been rolled out but i think a stretch will look good and give me that little more play .

I havnt got a clue when it comes down to stretch on a set of wheels this wide so could someone please give me my possible options .

The car wont be driven hard or aggresivly so a large stretch isnt too much of a problem .

Cheers for any info ..

Stevie

As you have said above you haven't a clue, so atleast they will give you an idea :-p.

TUV Guide's are for gay's like me Karl

Queenie!

175/50 would be fine on both really. Maybe a 195/45 on the 8.5s.

The main problem will be finding someone who isn't going to insist that they physically won't fit on.

I saw a Yoko A539 175/50 on a 9J and it looked no more stretched than a Conti 195/45 on a 9J

So 175/50s should be fine all round!

Sound ..

Cheers guys :-D

I'm lucky and know a garage that put tyres on for all of the drift guys around here so will stretch as far as you physically can .. Lighter gas in hand and all

Thats because for example a Dunlop 195/45-13 is only 2-3mm wider than 175/50-13. The difference beeing that 195/45 is built to be stretched

Certain brands tyres just seem wider though. Like BF Goodrich tyres are always really wide.

Indeed they are. Also from the same manufacturer it can vary depending on tread pattern. The Falken FK451 are regarded as slim for their sizes, but my FK452 in 225/30-20 is actually wider than my BFG

The widest 175/50-13 I know of is Sime and the no longer available Pirelli P7
