VTS no questions asked

i thourght so to !!! but some tit was saying my lupo would beat it iam like :S

I love the race threads, but I can relibly say that a VTS was along side a Raddo G60 well above the speed limit on a private road though, both cars on the limiter in 5th and there was nothing between the 2.

Shocked me!!!

Unfortunately I was to far ahead in my Lupo to have seen any of this because I'm light speed mother chunkers.

I work with an owner of a 106 Gti, and his words were - 'POLO Gti's munch my car.'

So hes being honest, so with the 106 gti and the saxo vts being virtually the same car.... surely a lupo gti should beat them both?

I think this threads are a bit stupid, but always cause great discussion, no doubt the usual moaning people will come along with 'not another thread like....' But hey, just what I have heard and my opinions!

Sounds like your mate needs driving lessons

thats what I thought to be honest. Might be because his 106 is bright yellow, blinded him a bit.

Haha

I was only messing about, but maybe he can't drive dunno

There are a lot of cases of beating the driver going on! I never used to struggle with the Twinport Corsas in my 1.0 breadvan

vts's can't be very quick then

Well, it started a whole line of questions in my head, but as you know I am thick & can't even answer my questions, I just thought the '60 would have a longer 5th & therefor longer legs at the top end

You always do keep me behind!!! :?

Standard VTS's will top out on the limiter at somewhere around 140, I would have thought a G60 would have been geared longer than that too

Why does it matter?

At least at the other end the Lupo will be in one piece while the saxo owner is picking up his arch trims.

sounds like you know from experience?!

I've owned 2 Saxo VTR's (still got one which is sitting up at Toby's waiting for engine bits) and they just fall to bits.

LUPO/POLO wont touch a light weight SAXO/106 the french are fast them pocket rockets.

well had a bit of a play with my mates VTS on the way up to the show on sunday, not much in it when you get to higher gears but when at top end he just left me and kept going then a big red Audi shot past the pair of us lol

my mates got a vts and the

vts does dick on the lo/po gti

the 106 is heaver so got les chance

is it just me that doesnt think that 106 GTIs arnt 'that' fast. not raced a VTS but they're the same car

polo GTIs / lupo GTIs must be a bit dissapointing speedwise tbh

106s GTI's are pretty quick like.

Imo they are the better car bar the interior. There cheaper, quicker and better looking. So long as you maintain them they are reliable as well. But the same can be said for any car really. I mean Polo GTI's aren't the height of reliability are they!?

According to parkers:

0-60 Top Speed BHP

Saxo VTS: 1.6i 16V VTS 3d (99) 7.6 s 127 mph 120 bhp

Lupo GTi: 1.6 GTi 3d 8.0 s 127 mph 123 bhp

so in theory, saxo would win

think that the mk1 vts's have better flowing heads so they put out 130 brake

and i defo know that thay do moore than 120mph (privte rd;))
