Collected my car from Forge, had a FMIC fitted to my car. Thanks to everyone at Forge motorsport. What a great team and company they are (my personal experience). Always happy to answer questions and everything has top quality workmanship.

Lowers the stock intercooler temp from around 60 to almost 20 degrees. The car pulls, and keeps pulling like there is no tomorrow. Very impressed so far. I'm running it without the front grill until the honeycombe grill set 8) arrives.

Unfinished mock up/dummy IC they use for size. More than twice as wide and little taller than the stock IC (for size comparison). They're not messing around when they say 130% bigger

Its here and its official.

Its going to be priced at £599 inc vat.

On the intercooler, core size is 270mm high x 480mm wide x 60mm deep. Pipework is 50mm (stock is 45mm).

Mine is a prototype so your production one should be available soon. IMO is a very good price for it. Much cheaper than what was speculated, the APR one to anywhere, one its cousin's use and all in all a great piece.

There isn't any more lag at all. It feels like there is less of it if anything, the turbo whistle's more, the car gurgle's and it goes like stink in any weather now. Plus it just looks so good.

fuck me that must fly. bhp???!!

Cool little build up thread and nice car

Looks real nice and love the engine mod's!

I dont suppose youve still got the standard rear silencer that came off the car have you?

And if you dont mind me asking how much was the milltek?

I take its one from an Ibiza youve fitted as i was under the impression they stopped making them for the polo due to fitment problems?

I didn't know you got the GTi in 5 door, think this must be the first one I have seen.

Thanks.

It was RR'd at 204bhp w/o the exhaust, intake or the intakecooler.

Yes, as it turned out later it is a Milltek for the Seat Ibiza and fitted poorly, this was sorted by Milltek but now there's another thing with the car being on coilovers :?.

very cool that, definately picked some choice mods for it! first 5 door gti i've seen too!

Thanks.

and those mods must add how much?

nice to see some tuning going on! :D

I should imagine its added another 20bhp Then again another car with identical mods minus FMIC/pipes produces 220bhp time & time again on Awesome's rollers.

Mine was RR'd on a Dyno dynamics.

did u notice anything with the pd intake>> any chnace of part numbers as I wouldnt mind getting that done to mine!

Also where did yoiu get the suspension from ??

Dave

I really like all the tuning and modifications you've done, but what possessed you to get a 5 door? That side on picture makes it look like a limousine.

6LL 129 621 Trumpet (£14.91)

6LL 129 618 Pipe (£24.11)

Plus VAT. I've heard the pd160 price has increased now though. It makes the car slightly louder with more air getting in and with a panel filter is a worthwhile alternative to an induction kit.

I got a 5 dr because I cant be bothered to get out to let people out and they're different (more Q car like)

210-220 should be about right....the new GTI's are realy growing on me

I'm still haven't got the other wheels on yet, waiting on some honeycombe grills for the lower sections, and might soon book it into the bodyshop

New honeycombe style lower grills fitted :). I really like the difference it makes as I can clearly see the red intercooler pipes etc...will get new photos later.

I have got a couple of sets for sale if anyone is interested, they're not available in Europe.

looks sweeet

how much for a set of the grills m8? are they easy 2 fit?

how much for a set of the grills m8? are they easy 2 fit?

They cost £86.75 delivered or £90 via paypal. They're very easy to fit, the worst possible scenario you migtht have to remove the bumper to remove centre section.

I didn't have to, neither did another member. So long as you get a couple of the tabs loose they all come out (easier once the sides grills are off).

hi bud love the car i was looking at a forge kit whats the differnet like with it on the car. all so u got any close up pics of the lower grills it looks smarter than what they cum with all ready cheers tom

...a few more showing the honeycombe

cheers tom

GTI's come with fogs, retro fitting the lamps themselves is also straight forward.
