hi i am looking to get a central locking kit for my mk3 polo just wanted to no how easy it is to do and if anyone has done it if they have pics or genral guide on how to fit it? :lol:

If by mk3 you mean '90 - '94: It's pretty easy apart from there's no way to get the wires into the doors without drilling holes in the end of the door and A pillar. Once you've got that sorted it's just a case of mounting the solenoids in the right place which will probably take a lot of bending and swearing! But there's plenty of room for them and the door cards are easy to remove/replace.

So yeah the only problem really is getting the wires there!

i drilled a hole in the door and pillar about 10mm in diameter in the door and 11-12mm in the pillar, poked a piece of black tube in the door so that it remained still and slid in/out of the pillar.then the wires went through that one at a time. the drivers door solenoid in the kit i had also could be operated by the key in the door, so the throw of the solenoid had to match the throw of the lock itself. otherwise it wont lock/unlock properly
