Good points:Too many to list! This is a very good condition car, and only for sale because unfortunately Steve (the owner) can't afford to insure it anymore. When he bought the car it had the usual Mk3 GTi reverse gear problem which was annoying - he's now had the gearbox fully reconditioned which makes a big difference to how it drives! As well as the gearbox it also had a new clutch at the same time. The engine is a 2.0 8V (115bhp), so its not amazingly fast, but driven properly it will return 40+ mpg, which is pretty good for a Golf GTi! As it is one of the last Mk3's off the production line it has all the usual equipment including some extras - air conditioning being the main one, its ice cold and works straight away.

The car has a load of service history right up until last year when Steve and I did the service ourselves. This included a new cambelt and tensioner in August 2007 so there's no need to worry about that for a while. It has a full category 1 Toad alarm and immobiliser including the certificate of authenticity. The windscreen unfortunately cracked on the way to Inters this year so its just had a new windscreen fitted thanks to the insurance :)

Remote central locking (from the alarm fob)

It is priced low for a quick sale as he really needs to get a cheaper car to insure. If it sells for the full asking price then he'll also include the Blaupunkt CD player with the car too.

Bad points:The only real bad point is that the passenger side rear electric window doesn't work. We never got round to looking at that, but as it works from neither the front or rear switches I think its likely to be a problem with the motor or the wiring.
