I can only speak for myself, but IMO yes it does. If you have to read something more than once to understand it, then it's obstructive.

if you have to read 'there' more than once to know what its says then maybe the problem is with you?

i mean its not like it sounds any different when you say it, so no matter which one has been written the sentence will still say exactly the same thing when read, its not like people are putting 'elephant' instead of 'it'. i go out of my way to try and make my posts as readable as possible, i spell check every post i make with the FF spell checker, if i didn't they would be unreadable due to dyslexia, so its not really laziness when i put the wrong there in a sentence, its more that i've already gone out of my way to make it more readable so if you can't be arsed to change a there to a their in your head for me then then its not my problem tbh

My grammer is apauling i am absolutly awful at spelling and even worse at grammer. I've got my job and a good one at that so i have no troubles . I really should teach myself a bit more though

I've noticed this forum has once again slipped into the realms of illiteracy. I see many people on here moan about text talk, so I’ll bring this to light. As there is no general chat, I've posted it here.

Hopefully this will help some people appear to have the intelligence greater than that of a ten year old.

Their:

An abbreviation of “they” and “are”. They are running across a field:- They’re running across a field.

A sentence with all three:

Other common and annoying errors are bought and brought, them and those.

Bought:

To buy. I bought an apple from that shop.

Brought:

To bring. I brought this over here.

Them:

To describe people. We saw them over there.

Those:

The plural of that. Those wheels look very nice.

Exactly! their aint any problem whichever way way you spell there as the brain (no matter how dumb it is) has the ability to jiggle things around so it makes sense. For example, a pub near me put an advert in the window for bar staff but jiggled the letters around leaving the 1st and last letter in the right place but moving the rest. (position became piostoin or something similar). Was funny how it was understandable (well it was for me with a i.q of 160!)
