HA.

Dude, your gonna be at least 21 before you can afford to insure that.

You cant just tell them its a 1.4 cl polo. You have to tell them about all the engine work, exhaust, suspension, wheels, body kit, steering wheel, everything.

IMO sell it on or buy a 1.0L to drive about and just work on this getting it perfect.

Driving about with invalid insurance is bullshit, you have no insurance at all like that. If you hit someone they will take you to the cleaners. And youd never afford to pay it yourself. I know of a guy who had to sell his car and his parents cars and use all his savings and a loan to pay off a personal injury claim someone took against him when he had invalid insurance like you.

BTW if the seller said the conversion was £8500 excluding engine and car he either lied his ass off and you are well gullible or he was totally raped.

Must go like shit off a stick but looks ming! And I don't agree with people who don't declare stuff on their insurance, especially huge engine conversions

hey welcome :-D :-D

Love it nice motor, some good advice has been said but at the end of the day it's your car so do what you want. Cant even imagine how much you'd get for a quote on that if you found one, my 1.4cl cost me over two grand to insure

At the end of the day obey the law and have some common sense...

Hi wlecom. As other people have said you will get done by the insurence company, police and if you do have an accident the person you hit.

You will be refused insurence by many of the mainstream companys, and get ass raped by the ones that do. I am 22 and have 3 years NCB and it still costs a bomb to insure a small car with a small engine.

Get rid of the car, unless you can garage it until you can insure it for less than 10 grand. Get a 1l polo or even another propper 1.4 cl.

Get you NCB and get somthing even better. By the time you get NCB you could have saved up and afford a GTI and afford to add extras to make it well rapid.

mines a g40 conversion which makes it a modified car and thats 2000 and I'm 21.

1.8 turbo conversion you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who would insure you. I did a huge search for insurance and found that only adrian flux would touch me being 21 most you had to be at least 25

This is just asking for trouble, if you do get into a scrape, good luck when you get a claim come through for whiplash or loss of earnings and medical expenses

my 19 year old mate, 2 years ncb has just insured his mark 2 golf 20vt for almost 3k and thats for 10 months! if i were you id get a smaller car, just out of curiosity had this not crossed your mind before?

welcome if yor lying to your insurance about your engine your technicaly payin all your insurace for nothin cause they wont cover you for shit if they find out :|

What the hell do your parents think to all this?

do they have no concerns over their recently passed son driving around in an uninsured car?

Maybe he is from an orphanage and the nun's couldn't give a shit??

This car was on eBay for absolutely aaaagggeeess.

Good luck on insurance, as a price to relate yours to, my insurance on a Mk3 GT with wheels and lowering declared was £2500 TPF&T.

lol i wish my mum would of let me insure something with a crazy engine as a 1.4 as my first car

well i would wish, apart from the fact i would most certainly be dead, i nearly met my end being a dick in the 8v so fuck knos what i woulda done with a 20v

my advice is take it off the road and do it up as a project mate. it might seem like a good idea driving without the engine declared, but its not like its only a set of wheels / suspension etc. its a dirty great engine conversion, theres no way you are insurance would pay out if they find out whats under the hood lol

I don't like the car, makes me wanna vom and you're a dick for not insuring it properly

You'll have written it off soon enough, guaranteed

[We should place bets on this one actually]

If you bumped me and I found that out, I'd hunt you and your car down and make you cry especially when you saw what I did to your car

You should keep it as a project and get a run around, you'll regret it if you don't

I am intrigued however, as to how a 17 year old boy got his hands on 2k to spend on his first car :?

from the bank?

Aren't you funny!

saved his money?

Loads of my mates got loans through their parents, one got 6k so he could have a modified Escort GTi.

Why are you intrigued by 2k? Thats nothing, he could of being saving up, worked for it, saving up his birthday money, or maybe his parents paid for his first car.

I know loads of people who have cars worth more than 2k as there first car...

And you should sell the car mate or keep it as a project!

I'm female what would I know!

I'm female what would I know!

You are just oldskool, where your first car has be a shitter that you can cover in parking dents and DIY repairs. That what i did, £150 car FTW!

You could insure it properly.. But you'll find it hard to find one.. But someone would insure you.. prob for about 8K!

Engine conversion 8.5K? Bollox

BTW.. If your caught and found without insurance (which you technically are) despite crashing if your randomly stopped and the police find out..

Driving uninsured = crushed car, 6points, £200 fine, and sometimes court

I drove uninsured once.. I got a £200 fine and 6 points.. my insurance had recently run out and I forgot to renew so my own fault but I got off lightly!!!! Becareful!

My recommendation: 1.0 litre polo.. trailer, shove it on the park and go to tracks :)

that is a beast of a car.

I'm afraid i have to go with breadman and Tom7 on this one tho- you need to get that insured properly, cos your gonna end up in all sorts of bother then pc plod wants to check the tred on your tyres (happens way to often driving a car that attracts attention) or when grandma reverses into you in her citroen ax.....

Your a fucking dick tbh.

It is people like you that makes insureance so much in the first place.

Just think everyone, if he hits any of us who has to foot the bill (we will).

Your a fucking dick tbh.
