30mph speed limit to protect road workers enforced with cameras? What's the beef? They'd have been set above the 30mph limit so I presume it'd have been catching those nearer 40mph +

it was a nightmare

they turned a mile and a half or so stretch of 50mph limit dual carriageway into a 30 limit with about 6 cameras or something overall, to reinforce a bridge for cows to walk across

not surprised the roadworks were up for so much longer than i thought they would have been if they were catching 100 people per day

and i drove down that road 100s of times and i never once saw a road worker

I've never ever seen anything actualy happening there

if they are there to protect road workers then fine, but if like you say doug there was never any body working there and it took a lot longer than expected to finish then the council probably just realized what a good thing they were on to.

did anybody hear about the council that were on about scrapping all there speed cameras? they said the £400.000 they had to pay the government every year to have them there could be better spent on more effective safety devices.

so not only do the government get all the fines from them, they also get £400.000 a year from the local councils.

is it a Labour council there by any chance?
