young driver g40 insurance

Featured Replies

Breaking my posting cherry so be patient :)

I am looking to insure a standard g40, currently 18 but i am 19 on the 10th of August.

I have read the previous topics regarding this sort of thing and have been amazed by 19 year olds saying their insurance on a g40 is around £1300, more or less. All the quotes i have recieved from confused.com have been in the region of £3000, also i rang Adrian Flux and got quoted £2000 (for when i am 19). Any help would be appreciated whether it be advice or financial :p

My advice...get a cheaper polo to insure, get a couple of years driving experience and no claims bonus

then buy a G40. :-D ( think of the money saved to buy eventual mods 8-) )

I've been driving since i was 17 so i have 1 year no claims bonus. Currently drive a 2003 Fiat Stilo 1.6 16v, i've looked around for a while and decided i don't want anything else.

Sorry, i probably should have included this in the original post...

i would agree with simmo, get a 1 litre polo, you still got your pick of which mk you want, and build up your no claims.

one day... you will be able to afford it!

I'd keep the Stilo for a while, no point swapping it for a beaten up old Polo just for the sake of it.

If you really want a 2F Polo, the GT maybe a good option but beware of the current prices. High is an understatement.

i had a g40 with no NCB at 18 3rd party f&t for £1350

i had a g40 with no NCB at 18 3rd party f&t for £1350

how? lol

DONT get a g40 lol...you'll kill it

i was your age when i was looking for one...i got a GT instead

youve no chance really on a g40...at 18 anyway, am waiting till 24ish before i get a G haha

Brentacre. When your 19 I would have thought it would have been under 1500.

Rich

i went for a quote on the GT at brentaker....19 and they wanted a 1100, cant see a g40 being near that

Brentacre often aren't the cheapest, but the cover and freedom is worth the extra outlay I think in some cases...might be worth looking into. I find my cheapest quotes always come from Elephant.
