Nice a G40 eh? Is it quick ?

WHat i've always wanted! I wouldnt say its reasonably fast. enough to scare passengers and leave behind afew bigger motors. est 140bhp.

I've read the first two pages and got bored.

I suggest you consider a G40 (2F supercharged Polo). They have 113bhp as standard but only weigh 830kg's, for their weight, they're torque monsters.

The gearing is pretty short with a long final drive.

The G40 is the quickest standard Polo to date IIRC with a book figure of 8.1 seconds 0-60. That's pretty quick to be honest with you.

If 8.1 seconds isn't enough the figure is easily reduced with a few simple mods. 150bhp is easily obtainable with a charger rebuild, induction kit, re-map and a new exhaust.

Many G40's are sub 7 seconds 0-60mph and the odd few being sub 6 seconds 0-60mph. Not bad for a 1.3 8V.

The current G40 market is pretty good and tuning a G40 is reltively cheap and easy.

A 6N or 6N2 will obviously out handle a 2F but the G40 is the easier engine to tune and offers better results.

Some people have transplanted a G40 engine (coded PY) and running rear into a 6N shell and someone I believe has put one into a 6N2. The best of both worlds, old power and modern handling. To me that says something about the performance of the G40 engine.

Lol but I don't want a G40, I don't like them.

I'm not doing this to be fast, I doing it cos I really like the 6n2 polos and I like the valvers. :D

Cool, enjoy it while you can pal :D

Mk5 fixes all the flaws of the Mk4 :p

The 6n2's look alot different than a 6n to me anyhow.

The 6n2's are a lot nicer interior than a 6n polo in my opinion anyhow.

Fair enough, the 6N2 is one of the better looking Polo's to date and if I were to buy another Polo anytime soon it would probably be a 6N2 GTi.

Yeah out of the two I think the 6n2 polo's are much nicer looking as well both interior and exterior, lol.

Ahhh, yeah this is my problem you see....I'm in two minds to whether to get a GTi or a valver....its already obvious that GTi is quicker than a valver to start with but I have never been in or driven a GTi polo so I don't know how is drives and stuff n which is best, whereas as with a valver I have n they are nice to drive.

Also my other problem with a GTi I don't know if I would get insured on it :s

And also...I don't know what I would do to a GTi , lol.

GTi's look rude as standard.

Some dished wheels and you're onto a winner.

Heated leather interior, electric windows, ABS. They really are cool. I suggest you get an insurance quote on all the different cars you're considering, look at the costs of each car including the costs that you would require to modify each one.

I can say from experience of the older Polo's that if you buy the lesser model, the first modifying costs are usually alloy wheels closely followed by the top model's trim.

Ahhh I see what you mean then, well I suppose I am gonna have to go away and think about it truely and properly, lol.

I think I might go for a GTi instead of the valver then....still not sure like, lol. Its defo a 6n2 polo suma I'm getting though, really like thoses 6n2's :)

Cheers for the advise bud :D
