Mk3 Polo 16v AFH

Featured Replies

Nice engine conversion there. 8-) Run it on some throttle bodies/bike carbs and it'll really make it all worthwhile.

The wheels are nice, but a bit too wide and "sticky outy" for my liking. On the whole though, it looks a top job!

nice work mate, job well done

looks quite tidy,

deffo the first mk3 with mk4 valver engine in

Well, I first saw the turbocharged AFH in a Polo 2F in 1998

Looking good there mate. As mentioned above, to low offset on the front wheels, and it needs a 4-branch (for power and looks)

looks very nice mate.

very good job.

loving it.....

Looking very good. Always nice to see something a bit different from the norm.

I think a set of 280mm brakes behind a set of grey Compomotive MO's would give it the look it deserves 8-)

all this throttle bodies lark is all well and good if you've got the best part of £2k to spend on doing it! running the standard injection is the most viable and cost effective way really as in you need the ecu immobiliser removing and some wiring doing and thats about it!

good effort on getting it in and running, i am in the middle of rebuilding my AFH lump. hopefully see you at a north east meet soon

nice install! It's about time we saw a few more of these popping up in the UK.

there is a lot of AFH conversions in the good old North East .............. must be our strong engineering heritage. :D

Top man for doing it ......... well done.

looks great that does.

nice 8-)

did you do it yourself? was there much involved in fitting it?

I saw you the other day Mr heartagram, I over took you in a 5 door mk3 golf on my way to jesmond!!

I've been in and out of hospital for various reasons so havnt been up to car stuff!!!

My polo is now off the road for its winter rebuild.

It just wasnt tidy enough, as heartagram will tell you.

it was a bit rushed on my part so start again, tidy it up and in march you will see it around!!!

I took it off as there was no need for it to be on really.

it was just i had clean air going in rather than it having exhaust gases

simple reason really!
