Ummm, why does it look like they have added 2 lots of VAT on?

Vat for the parts and then VAT for the total?

my thoughts exactly.. and why so much labour?? it doesnt take that long surely they have monkeys doing that?

and the parts have been bumped up a fair amount.. talk about inflation rising.. he must be living in 2030...

115 for brake hoses? flexy stainless ones are less than that!!

well id say never to go there again..

labour is bout rite for area, I'm sure he bummin u on VAT

yeah my dad said for this area the labour is understandable, ill have to go over the VAT

6 half hours labour? What?! £115 on brake hoses?! £25 on a single wheel bearing?!

They've only charged VAT once BTW when you add the totals up, but still. That's extortion!

Yeah VAT actually seems fine

but I have no idea how much parts cost, or how long the work would take to do

I thought they are menna be trained mechanics! :x

Go to www.gsfcarparts.com/ , search for the parts and add the prices up. Like a front brake hose is £8.75 each, and a rear is £7.50.

Yeah mate I could argue that it shouldnt of taken you that long, I mean they had my car for a good few days, but If they come up with excuses, what can I do? :S

6.5 hours labour just for that? I seriously doubt they had a mechanic on your car for a whole day?

If I were you I'd have kept the £920 for myself, broke the car for parts and bought a valver

Did you pass maths at school? all they need to do is charge 17.5% on the total and it will work out the same as if they had charged 17.5% on each item.

What On Earth??????

Take them to trading standards, please, for the sake of anyone else unfortunate enough to have to use this garage.

Are their parts solid gold by any chance?

Yes, I did thank you very much. If you look at all the previous posts, people are saying they charged VAT twice. Once for the parts, and then again at the end. I was stating that they didn't. :retard:
