is this line standard issue to everyone who walks past you when washing your car? its like they can't bear the awkward silence when walking past so this line makes them feel more comfortable. must of been said about 3 times when i was washing the car the other day and by the 3rd time i wanted to nut the old man :lol:

surely everyone else gets the same line?

Haha, yes! Every single time when I wash my car, though I don't wash it often so it's not so bad

I usually get the same off people in my estate.

I think the first week I got my car I washed it more then I washed myself haha :)

not forgetting 'u missed a spot' :| .... I often wonder if these people actually think they come up with that line and it hasn't been heard 1000's of times

I once had a guy stop his minibus full of kids next to my car when I was washing it and say "Will you do this once I've dropped all the kids off?"

i might make a little sign that says:

no i haven't missed a bit, i don't want to do yours and no i haven't finished yet.

see what they say then
