iirc his dad brought it for him. imo this just backs up the idea of limiting the power output of cars (like they do with motorbikes) for new drivers, no matter how old your are you should have to work your way up, each year you've been passed you can move up to a more powerfull car if you wish, and any body that says insurance already does this is wrong. any body who's parents can afford to by them a M5 won't be paying there own insurance.

I heard about this a while ago. I think there were five people in the car and three of them were 'partially ejected' according to the report.

Yeah, I had a read of the thread the guy made about trying to get a smoother gear change and how to make it faster. People were telling him to be careful and that it's a mistake that an 18 year old should have a 500HP car. Wierdly ironic premonition type way, the guy said he drives responsibly and wouldn't put other peoples lives in danger less than 24 hours before the crash.

Not really a lot you can say to someone really if they're really determined to drive a powerful car like that.

pretty horrific really. i wonder how many of you, who can easily point a finger or call the deceased would, if given the chance of such a car would say ' dad, you know hang on I'm not ready for a car as powerful as this' get me something less thrilling. probably none. poor lad . parents are to blame but am sure they are paying for it now poor souls.

My thoughts on the story, (dont actually care) poor parents of the driver now have to live with people telling them its their fault their kid decided to take the car on a high speed run resulting in crashing and ruining the lifes of all the other parties involved, aswell as knowing they raised "a special one" who saw fit to "turn it all to max" on a car and drive flat out knowing full well he has no/little experience

Oh yeah, and they lost their child, a part of them - meh!

Poor families of all the others in the car too, well not so much "poor" people die, its inevitable, but its probs not nice for them at all

And poor rescue people who saw all the brains, guts etc, they're gonna have nightmares now and need years of counseling - we all know how mentally soft as shite Americans are
