6N Votex spoiler priming / painting

Featured Replies

I got a votex spoiler for my 6N, the instructions mention sanding the spoiler down with 600 grit, then using 'pore filler' and then spray filler primer

I only have the spoiler itself, no pore filler (which is usually included) so do I need to get hold of some, or can I simply spray primer straight onto it?

I'm planning to paint it myself, got a few rattle cans of my cars colour from VW, what primer should i use, plastic primer?

What would you recommend using and doing?

Thanks in advance :)

thanks for the reply

what grade paper should I be using between stages?

well when youve primered i wouldnt bother just wipe it down before top coat then when its had a few coats of top (thin) start 2k or 1500 wet flatting it but tbh it shouldnt be too bad you may get away with just applying it all then flatting after the lot :D then lacquer as much as you can then polish :)
