Doubt it'd use much more bandwidth really. Loads of threads go half off topic on here anyway, so they'd just be in an Off Topic section instead.

I think having off topic back would lighten the mood on here big time, and go a long way to getting the forum back to it's previous, fecking awesome, state.

I agree, but think it might need to monitored a lot more than the other forums to just stop ten ton of crap being in there i.e. clearing out threads/posts after a week of inactivity or something like that...

But that said, I don't miss it a whole bunch, some others that I've seen either end up full of dead threads or turn into a big slagging off area

Tbh I'm 50/50 in favour, the original one got a bit bitchy + i find it more amusing the banter in some 'On-topic posts that go off-topic.
