If your suspension is really firm just get rid of it. The spring travel/body roll is so little on a lot of coil overs you won't notice the difference...if it's low enough to be an issue handling isn't your main concern. It may even make it a nicer drive. Certainly preferable to chopping about at the chassis rails.

To remove the bar is the option. But I dont think that is so easy :p It goes over the exhaust so have to take of the exhaust from cat and back, but still i dont know if the bar comes over the cat :p And with low car and sideskirts it is a hell to get the car in the air!
