Def. neccessary. Lowering the car will affect the geometry. Plus unbolting the shock at the bottom undoes the camber adjustment.

Prices: £40 - £100 depending on where you go.

bump

Really you should be doing it at least once a year anyway. Just to make sure you haven't knocked it out or anything.

If you don't do it after lowering, theres a good chance you'll wreck your tyres as well as the car handling rubbish cause the geometry is all over the shop.

You've spent the money on a lowering kit, don't be a cheap arse now and just get it done.

£20 at the place i go. Worth it!

£55 for 4 wheels for me.

where are all these magically cheap places? i went quick fit, they said 60 quid to luk at it, then 15 quid per adjustment, arse bandits, btw is it possable to adjust it by yourself by eye, to help my tyres last longer?

Where?!

Know where I'm going...

Cam Tyres, Cam, Glos

Chrisbin, thats the price Kwik Fit quoted me, £55 for all 4 when i rang.. or it might have been just for the front 2..

They did my rear camber and a few other things for £30 anyway..

I got my tracking and camber done at my local for £15 :)

tracking,camber,full service came to 155

We used to charge what we liked for tracking. If they had a nice motor then up it went. Always thinking of that bonus. I done a Range rover for 115 quid once, well the bloke thought it had been done, turns out he had. Scratch, scratch, scratch....

Usual average price was 24.95 plus vat, but that was about 8 years ago, and to be honest, a) you'll be lucky if it gets done properly, after all, these gauges get dropped at least once a day, and b) certainly wouldn't let kwik-fix near it.

You can adjust anything by yourself but you need a good idea of what your adjustment will do. It's a pain in the arse anyway, your better off getting matey matey with a local garage and bunging them a drink. So about 30 quid then. 8-)

WE GOT A TRACKING MACHING AT WORK WHICH IS THE DOGS NUTS. WE'LL CHECK A CAR FOR FREE, BUT THERE NEARLY ALWAYS OUT. WE USUALLY CHARGE £35 FOR JUST FRONT TOE, £65 FOR FRONT AND REAR. EACH CAMBER IS USUALLY £12.50, BUT THAT CAN DEPEND ON WEATHER ITS A NICE CAR OR NOT. THE MOST WE EVER CHARGED WAS £160 FOR A OLD PORCSHE

Why should the car being nice have any impact on the price..

I went to MeriTyre.. Was £55 ish

The number of utter nice people about is why I nearly always go to a garage that I know.

Cheers for that though Kerrly- know where they are too, bonus.

Edit: darn the swear filter to heck! nice people isn't what I wrote at all! I do not think squareback'90 is a nice person!

Certainly makes you want to stay clear of that garage...

I'd say the best option is gettting a local garage to do it that you're friendly with.

normally 23 quid

That was one of the main reasons I got out the tyre game dude. Couldn't earn the money unless you mugged people off. Just telling you how it was. Having a nice motor meant you had a couple of quid and surely wouldn't want to wreck it, so for the sake of a 1er, blah blah...

I never warmed to fast fit and their practises. Best avoided IMH. For the record, I'm a nice person, in fact so nice, I mug myself off.

And theres no need to swear, it shows a lack of intelligence.

I'll let you off then!

It was supposed to be fairly light hearted, it's not like you were bragging about it.

And I never said I was intelligent :retard:

But tbh swearing is the second most clever thing you can do, behind smoking 8-)

And arguing on the internets. All the really smart peoples argue on the internets.
