Just put this: (thread) on Edition38, I don't have a polo any more (been through 3 VAG cars since then and settled on a Scirocco) but I'd be well up for this, especially in Taunton, I know a couple of other guys who'd probably be up for it around Taunton too.

Personally I think Tauntons an awesome location, not just because its local to me but its also pretty central, theres a big void between Southampton and Plymouth where nothing happens, and Tauntons pretty much smack in the middle, with plenty of good locations, including covered and lit ones.

what we thinking end of month or begining of month also i think reason why it sorta fell apart last time was lack of things to do in the underground... worth maybe some ideas of things to do while were there...

We could have loads of categories, Best Polo, Best Golf, Best Rocco, Best Green Car, Best Black Car, Best M-Reg, Filthiest and Longest Traveler. Only problem with loads of Categories means that not every winner will get a Subway.

Best Exterior, Best Engine Bay, Best Interior and All-Round Looker maybe.

I reckon the middle of the month would be best, all the other ones in this country seem to be at the start/end, so it'd fill the gap.

You're right, theres not a lot to do, maybe sainsburys should just be a wet location, and there should be another for when its dry. I'd sugest halfords, as its a good location, but all the bad ass kids hang out there most nights and the surface is sooo slipery, I dont want to see any caved in wheels/wishbones, how about at the far end of the odeon car park? bit quieter, theres bowling, food (Chinese and McDonnalds) and its a decentish surface. Stupidly easy to find for non-locals too

Somewhere a bit different would be nice though.

Maybe Taunton dean motorway services? (between J25 and J26)

Edit: How about the abandoned mental hospital? haha, not all that practical, but a pretty awesome place!

Oh, or how about smeatharp? airfield nearish taunton, loads of space, and not gunna get anyone complaining, pretty cool location, its where they hold the dakota sunday street wars, (directions)

Mental hospital? Danny and I will fit right in. They both sound like pretty awesome spots. Moody Mental for Photo's, Raging Airstrip to kill the boredom. Sounds Good.

Haha, I wish the hospital had more parking thats all, as it would be an awesome place, but theres only the sides of the lane leading to it that we could park/meet on.

The air strip is awesome though, tiny bit out of the way, but pretty cool really, would make some awesome photos as the locations pretty isolated and on a hilltop. Only thing is theres not the full strip open all the time, its normaly fenced off but theres still a very large very open concrete area with some awesome local roads which happen to be covered in massive lay-bys.

I'll keep thinking, but i think the only way we could beat the airstrip would be if there was somewhere closer to the motorway.

theres loads of places around here but half the time its knowing the area to get to them... seemed to be half the problem with cheddar gorge... but then te gorge was fecking COLD!!!

haha, don't think I'd be welcome up at westonzoyland went up there the other day with a mate and the owner came and had a go and said about how it was for learners only and not for 'testing out your car' but that he'd let us off this time. Cant imagine the owner being that open to it.

Well, if he said 'testing your cars on' strangely to me that means he's a decent bloke, if not he would have said something like don be a dick and the fuzz is on the way. Could be open to it if we asked him in advance rather than just turn up.

Just do it on a weekday night, that way most people should be free. Just not Thursday or friday night due to the rather large amounts of drunk bastards staggering about in Taunton. haha.
