Not feeling that "asrat" at all. Each to their own but I hate it. Big pile of poop with a vw badge hanging off the rear for some reason.

If its a genuine rat,yes. Meaning,its taken many years to age like a fine wine,develop priceless used character.

But what you're talking about,the act of trying to speed up the process,absolutely no.

That's my view.

Rat is rust and very very faded paint. Can only be done well on OLD cars, MK3 is to new. I've seen a few rat MK3's and tbh they look crap.

The 'asrat', I think its cool. but as soon as someone try to copy him well, it will ruin it. As a one off its ace but it shouldn't be copied imo.

Do it if you wish and if you think it looks cool. But imo it looks shyt on new cars. I personally just go for the abused look, covered in dents chips n scratches that are happily rusting away and looking messy lol.

i quite like rat- but you gotta go the whole hog, or it looks pants.

Like euro- you can get pressed plates and smoothed bumpers, and looks okish, but if you only do a few things rat... looks pants, you gota do it all.

x2, its just a paint finish. So the car is just as mint as if it was painted with normal shiney paint. I have seen some MINT matt black cars though mmmmmm
