rat look

Featured Replies

I personally prefer a mint car with a perfect paint job etc rather than just seeing rust etc. But that's just my opinion.

x2, the only shoe for me

he has jst put a rat look bonnet on his mk4 polo 6n

with the word rat over it it loooks gr8!

one of them and a bonnet bra sorted

why would you put a bra on a rusted bonnet when the whole point of a bra is to protect the paint, that would just look stupid.

totally not feelin the rusted bonnets on otherwise clean cars btw, they are so "deliberate" and forced looking

Would even look better on his 6n without the word rat on it cos its clearly not a rat car, looks very clean.

I HATE new trainers, if they're clean they look shit. You should see my converse......

But you try and impress your peers dont you, i have crappy looking, used trainers and its the same with cars. I find the 'old skool'

and rat look cars much MUCH more interesting than spanking clean 'show' cars. But boo hoo theres loads and loads of people that

would rather look at the shiny types.

At E38 last year i probably walked straight past this car.....

i 100% agree with that, but i can't remember seeing either of them cars at ed38 last year, mind you i kinda gave up paying attention after a little while it all got a bit repetitive tbh, virtually every car was rocking the same mods but in different colours.

i saw that mk1 for sale on ed38 the other day tho, talk about scene tax, is the value of a car these days calculated by how many people stand around looking at it at ed38?

and WTF are them trainers all about??

Personally i think it looks fucking stupid putting a ruste bonnet on a clean car.

Its what chavs will be doing next year on their 'euro' saxos and corsas

Some dick near me has a blue Micra, with pressed plates, spray smoked all his lights and black 15" Halfords 'deep dish' wheels, and all his mates are like "yeah u sin sam's micra? propa euro man looks mint" ...

Edit: s'all about K-Swiss :finger:

Personally i love the rat look, my favorite of all being:

Lovely Caddy, complete with 50's radio, and a oil barrel on the roof rack, and a surfboard & wheelbarrow in the back.

For sale as well. 2k. Was desperately trying to swap my 6n2 for it there and then.

Cor id love to cruze around Newquay in that.

2k, jusitfiable by an oil drum and a radio that predates the car?

Polos and rat-look are like cheese and chocolate, ok on their own, but together? you just don't. Leave the (natural!) patina to the aircooled guys, granted theres a few exceptions, but all this excess accessorizing is more tat-look

Mk3 on wires is just plain offensive. The 'edit' on that mk4 is the funniest thing I've seen on hear in a long time

Yeah, like 5 years ago, when I wanted shoes twice the size of my feet :p

thats one thing i don't get about rat cars, how people seem to think they are worth more than any other shit conditioned car just because they are meant it to look fucked.

that orange mk1 above is another example, its fucked, it has no mot and i'm guessing would need massive amounts of work to get it through one, but because its rat look due to it having p-slots on he wants £600 for it, £600 for a fucked 4 door mk1, behave

yes rat cars can steel a show from the proper show cars, that by no mean means they are worth any more than any other fucked car.

i agree with djtezs comment

I like the look when its not gone to extremes. I like the quirky little details on some peoples car, like the polo (think it was) with the pacman vinyl etc
