Featured Replies

Jean, get lots of pictures of it, try to tell us what he started and what you want finishing to it... then get it on a trailer down to a club show and I bet you can have most of it done within the day.

I'm sorry for your loss, and like every one else here, I think its great what you are doing!

i hope you can feel at home on the forum, age doesnt really make that much of a difference...

us people here also dislike spinning rims, and altezza tail lights, so we are okay:)

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, it is a really sad story.

I think it is fantastic that you are renovating his car in memory, and i agree with everyone that you should get the car to the polo show and get people to help to fix it. There are some talented people on here and many people would be happy to help you me being one of them.

Well done and please let us know what you are doing with the car

Jonny

I think this a really nice thing you've decided to do and sad to hear of your loss Jean, hope all goes well and you get the car looking how your son had wanted it to be, as said before post some pictures up and I'm sure alot of people on here can point you in the right direction for ideas and ways to get the mk2 looking perfect.

Age is nothing, Very sorry to hear about your son, My condolences to your family. If you know what he was going to do with it, put up a list, Am sure people can help you source parts.

I'm sure people can donate parts etc if there was a list or something he had, I have a list due to the fact my memory is terrible.

Hi Jean,

Did some Re-search. Some People around Our way have recomended J Nimmo & Son Coachwork Ltd in Kilmarnock, i have seen alot of cars which have been done there and they produce quality work. I have not got a rough Price on The spray as i dont know which colour you would like.

If you Provide me with Colour etc i shal get a rough estimate for you if you wish?

I won't be doing it on the cheap. Look after yours it looks fooking brilliant!!!!

cheers folks,

you r so kind and thoughtful with your comments, feel shit about havin to use the money saved but j would have told us to use it.had some good news today for a change though, the two guys weve been fighting to get justice for j have finally admitted to smashing into his cavi, but because they found out he had passed away driving the hire car they thought they could deny everthing.j had two witnesses who were willing to go to court for us that seen everything, but because he died 3 weeks later they were ,how can i put this pure fuckers for putting us through this.we are 2 and a half years down the line but because we are stubborn old c---s we wouldn'd give up.just wanted them to admit thier guilt,so feelin a bit better knowing theyr'e not getting off with it.it was only for about 400 pounds worth of damages to so didnt care about the money just wanted them caught.well anyhoo gonna go 4 tonight will speak soon

hugs jean

It took alot of time for the guy to went head-on into my mate to admit to his parents that it was his fault.

good things come to those that wait.
