I'm confused. He had a 106 and made it look like a saxo...but they are the same car really just the saxo has a slightly different front end. So why didn't he just a buy a saxo? They go for the same money as the 106

Also its another example of a modified car still on standard suspension, i.e. a big body kit to make it look low yet you have 5 feet of arch gap! Looks shit IMO

Right what i think he may mean:

somewhere in the saxo's change over from MK1 to MK2 they also started putting in a restricted 1.6. The engine looked identical to the 1.6 but were tuned down to 1.1 (I have only come across 2 of these, i owned one and found another one after stopping to help a girl from uni who broke down) and they had a wide alternator belt compared to the standard thin V belt of the other engine, but the same as polo's you could change the parts around, but... they were no-where near a straight crossover as the pulley spindles were different diameters plus the mounts would have to be adapted, (Citoren sent me the wrong alternator and pulley kit when the bearing inside failed, common fault if its not mounted properly).

But on doing what he's done to the car, chances are hes also bodged this in, making him very retarded.
